Q. During Elevate upgrade or uninstall I get the message “the file that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable".

A.  There has been a problem with the Windows installer software which can be resolved by removing all Elevate entries in the registry.  However, Microsoft provides software to do this for you which normally safer.  We have tested this software with an Elevate installation in Windows XP and did not experience any difficulties.  (See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 for more information and to note their cautions.)  To proceed, download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package. Install this software, and run it.  Select ONLY Elevate, and click on Remove.  You can then reinstall Elevate (or delete the c:\program files\elevate folder if an uninstall was your intention).
